New in the Gothic 1 Remake

Every lock now gives XP — easy XP, easy leveling

Lockpicking now rewards experience for every chest and door you open. Golden Lockpick pops them all on the first try — so instead of snapping picks and reloading saves, you bank the XP. It has quietly become the fastest, safest way to level in the early game.

XP farmed by players

XP on every open

Each lock you crack adds to your experience. More chests opened means more levels — and Golden Lockpick opens every one.

No wasted picks

A snapped pick is XP you never collected. The tool plays the exact sequence, so you never lose a lock — or the experience it pays out.

Level up fast

Clear a camp's worth of chests in minutes and watch the levels stack. It is the easiest leveling route in the Gothic 1 Remake.

Three clicks

How it works

1

Match the lock

Pick the number of plates, then set each pin to where it sits in the game. The panel mirrors the lock exactly.

2

Open the lock

Click Open Lock. A short countdown lets you click back into the game, then the chest opens itself.

3

Take the loot

That is it. No need to enter the combination yourself, no broken picks, no save scumming. Just open the chest and take the loot.

Two things to get right

Run the tool with the same rights as the game. The tool does not need administrator rights of its own — it just has to match the game. If Gothic runs as administrator, run the tool as administrator too; if the game runs normally, run the tool normally. When the two don't match, the auto-open simply won't reach the game.

Click into the game before the countdown ends. Once you hit Open Lock, click back into Gothic so it has focus — then keep your hands off the keyboard and mouse while the countdown runs. The tool does the rest.

The Lockpickers' Guild

You're not picking alone

Every chest opened with Golden Lockpick is tallied in the Hall of the Guild — a live leaderboard of the most prolific lockpickers, and the talk of the dungeon. Here's what's happening right now.
